Each year the Air Force and the Military hold a Military Ball (formal Dining Out). This event is a lot of fun, military personal attends wearing their dress uniform.

Many people doubt How to wear appropriately in a military ball, here we offer some tips below.

A military Ball is almost always a formal event. A nice long gown is greatly recommended. Its okay if its form fitting or strapless as long as its appropriate for your body type/build. Pull out all the stops with pretty hair and make-up. Women will wear a formal evening dress or gown, it should be knee to floor length and tasteful. Other Dos and Don’ts of the ball
At the beginning of the night, there will probably be a recieving line. This is where everyone lines up and gets introduced to the “higher” ups.

Make sure you’re not holding a drink and have your right hand available for shaking.Make sure when the Colors (flags) are brought into the room, you stand up. When the National Anthem is played, make sure you put your hand over your heart.

There will be an MC that will kind of guide you through the other formalities.

There is usually alchohol served, feel free to a have a drink, just makeure you don’t get sloppy drunk. It will take your husband forever to live that down.

Most importantly, have fun!! These are formal events, but you’ll see. As the night progresses people will be enjoying themselves and having a good time.
